Imagination Lost?

May I respectfully suggest that many adults have lost the ability to imagine.

Maybe, I’m wrong and it’s not that they have lost their ability, maybe it’s simply that they are no longer choosing to use their ability.

Yes, life has many hard knocks that can take the wind out of your sails, and this then creates us to live our lives in a narrower and safer reality, rather than take a risk by imagining something better or different.

Reality, the here and now, no matter how routine, boring or restricted, somehow feels comfortable – it is known.

Imagining on the other hand, can be scary, because it is thinking about what could be and not what is. It is unknown.

The problem is that if we don’t imagine, things don’t change. How do we know what’s possible if we don’t imagine?

Tomorrow can be different in many ways we just need to start imagining it.
