We all know that doing good deeds makes us feel good. In fact, I once read some research that said when we do a good deed
- our wellbeing gets boosted by the brain chemical, serotonin levels going up by 50%;
- the serotonin levels of the recipient of the good deed also go up by 50%;
- and if anyone witnesses/becomes aware of the good deed their serotonin levels also go up by 50%.
That’s a lot of 50% increases!
So, as we ponder what we might like to do in 2022 and how we can make some positive impactful change, may I suggest that if we can change things in our life to make things better for someone else, and potentially find a way to share this goodness with others, then we truly are making the world a better place.
