When I ask people to share something interesting about themselves, they often say they aren’t a very interesting person.

I do not believe them.

Everyone is interesting. Everyone has a story. Everyone has something worthy to share about themselves.

Sadly, they don’t see that themselves. Why is that do you think?

Can I respectfully suggest it is because other people don’t make them FEEL as though they are interesting.

How many times do we pretend to listen, when in reality we are thinking about what we are going to say next, and usually that’s about ourselves! We don’t show genuine interest in what others are saying, which in turn makes them feel that they aren’t interesting.

How good would it be if everyone you talk with today left the conversation believing that they are an interesting person, and that was simply because you showed them that you were interested!
